The American Sailing Association is the recognized leader in sailing instruction for cruising sailors worldwide.

Today, with over 350 sailing schools worldwide and 515,000 ASA-certified sailors, ASA represents the largest and most trusted network of schools in the United States.

ASA Certifications

The American Sailing Association provides standards for progressive sailing certification programs, including: Keelboat Sailing, Small Boat Sailing, and Multihull Sailing. In addition, ASA provides standards for a number of endorsements, which are intended to supplement the main certification series. These include Docking, Weather, Celestial, and Radar.
SailNashville currently provides courses for ASA 101, ASA 103, and ASA 104.
